When I'm looking for a sunscreen, I prefer something that is hydrating since most sunscreens tend to dry out my skin. I also look for broad UVA/UVB protection with a mix of both chemical and physical sunscreen components. It's a huge bonus if my sunscreen can act as a make up base too, since it reduces the need for me to add one more product onto my skin before foundation or cover up. Lastly, I look for something that won't break me out since I have combination skin that is prone to cystic acne. Hera's Sun Mate Daily SPF 35 PA +++ meets all of those requirements and I've been using it religiously for several months.
I'm not a user of high SPF ratings in the fall, winter, and spring months. I think a SPF 35 is good enough, especially if my foundation or cushion foundation contains a high SPF already. However, in the summer time, I will likely be switching to a sunscreen with SPF 50 and I'd recommend my readers to do the same. Sun protection very important in keeping the skin youthful looking and to help reduce sun exposure related wrinkles, sunspots, and other kinds of damage.

Verdict?
Hera Sun Mate Daily SPF 35 is perfect for those looking for sun protection and a good make up base. I wear this under my foundation and over my moisturizer, and it helps my make up stay longer and also keeps my skin moisturized. The product contains seed oil and is lightly scented. It doesn't break me out or irritate any sensitive areas like skin around the eye area. The price is good for the value and amount of product you get as well, so overall - great product!

Hi Manisha!
ReplyDeleteThank you for reading my review of Hera's product :)
Sunscreen is very important to ensure our skin ages healthily and it reduces our risk of sun cancer as well! :) I never used to wear sunscreen as a young kid, even in my late teens and early twenties I would rarely wear sunscreen unless I was on vacation. I fully regret that now because my skin is starting to show the sun damage (eg. freckles/sunspots) not that I'm getting older. Sun damage only starts to show as we age too so it's best to start early in preventing UVA/UVB damage. Now I apply sunscreen religiously! :)
